LAGUNA COLLEGE OF ART AND DESIGN FINE ARTS

MAJORS EXHIBIT WORK IN SELECT LAGUNA BEACH GALLERIES

Public welcome to 13th Annual Professional Mentoring Program collaboration

between LCAD and Laguna Beach First Thursdays Art Walk

Laguna Beach, CA (November 6, 2014) – One of the nation's top colleges of art and design, Laguna College of Art and Design (LCAD) announced that 16 senior students from the BFA in Fine Arts major will exhibit their paintings in select Laguna Beach art galleries as part of LCAD’s Professional Mentoring Program, an annual collaboration between LCAD and participating Laguna Beach First Thursdays Art Walk galleries. The public is welcome to tour all exhibitions of student work from 6:00-9:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2014.

LCAD’s Professional Mentoring Program pairs fine arts majors with member galleries of Laguna Beach First Thursdays Art Walk. Representatives from the galleries guide students through the fundamentals of exhibiting their work in the professional arena and educate them about the business side of operating a gallery. With the exception of juried student exhibitions through LCAD’s satellite galleries, LCAD on Forest and LCAD Space at Forest & Ocean Gallery, many students have never exhibited their work professionally.
